These shoes sound good on paper, especially the lightweight part. But they don’t live up to their own hype. First, the good: these are super lightweight, as promised. But that’s really where the positives begin and end. To wit, I do not find these shoes very comfortable at all; they’re so-so for standing, but the sole is not meant for walking; it’s sloppy, inelegant, not all that flexible. The uppers are fairly stiff, too. The look of this shoe is OK, but it does look pretty standard and cheap, especially given the cost — sort of a knock off of Adidas’ iconic Stan Smith.
Ecco’s Soft 7 shoe is similar and, in my opinion, FAR, FAR superior. In fact, it’s one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, and does not suffer from the defects of the Cole Haan version. I do not recommend this shoe, unless it’s more of a “standing shoe” only, because this one gets uncomfortable fast if used for a decent amount of walking.

Totally happy with these shoes! Light weight, super comfortable and stylish. Sizing is accurate for me (10 1/2). The color is a very light creme or off-white which is perfect. Wish they were less expensive but this look and comfort are hard to find. I will order another pair of these soon.

This is an update to an earlier review. I’ve changed my opinion based on several months of use and no longer recommend these, especially for the price. While I like the look, style and weight, the cushioning broke down so much I find them hard to wear for any extended time. i have worn these on several long walks during hot days and this has contributed to them breaking down. They are now very uncomfortable due to the cushioning sole having broken down considerably in the few months I’ve owned them. They also do not breathe well and my feet got very hot. If you only wear these on special occasions and can get them at half the selling price they might be worth buying.

I absolutely love these shoes, very stylish and comfortable! The fit was perfect.

for a woman wearing a mens shoe this was entirely too narrow. ordered the wide width and it was also too narrow. too bad, awesome looking shoe

These pair of CH’s are THE most comfortable lightest shoe I’ve purchased in a long time!!!! I love them!

Can’t get enough of these shoes… Like, literally, already bought a replacement pair for when these wear out, and also purchased the unperforated version as well. The wide size is perfect, enough width in the toe box without looking frumpy like most wides. The shoes are lightweight, and super comfortable easy to choose to wear them over gym shoes and be just as comfortable with a classier look. For what it’s worth they also get noticed, I’ve had several co-workers trade up from gym shoes because they offer a more profession look without sacrificing comfort.

The sole is like a cheap flip flop material you can buy at the shop next to your beach. Way too expensive for the quality. Ecco has a better product, better arch support and you can walk in the Ecco shoes all day.

These shoes are very comfortable and stylish, but they have a MAJOR flaw. The soles are designed in a way that creates little suction cups that make squeaky sounds when walking on smooth surfaces. Sounds like the shoes are wet when they aren’t. Wish I had know before spending so much money on them…

True to color, awesome style and fit. What you’ve come to expect from Cole Haan.

A very handsome shoe, which provides, initially, good comfort. Given that I anticipate a great deal of wear, I was somewhat skeptical that the “foo-t bed”, overtime would retain the degree of support that I now require. I have previously purchased 4 pair of this Cole-Haan style and which I’ve had for 10-15 years. I know have very old feet and I require a foot-bed with excellent support. Cole-Haan makes a quality product and historically, the’ve served me well.

Very comfortable to wear everyday.

This looked and felt cheap. Not Cole Haan quality, I own other very nice Cole Haans. Felt and looked like vinyl. I returned them.

I purchased the Cole Haan GrandPro Sneaker for my adult son. He’s had them for about 7 months now. He LOVES them. He wears a size 10W, and also has “flat feet”. This is the first shoe that he found comfortable, long-wearing and “modern” in years. I am delighted, he is more so.

Bought another shoe to replace my worn out ones and I was surprised to find so many knicks, excess glue, and other fit and finish items…Thought after I had seen some at the store that had blemishes etc. I decided to order online…Not sure what’s going on with QA QC at Cole Haan but I guess that’s the expected quality now?

Over the years the quality and comfort of the show keep getting worse. my original ones se

Very good looking shoe, but the leather quality is extremely disappointing. My prior black Cole Haans with white soles had much thicker leather. What happened? Cheapening out to save a buck? 🙁

Too shiny, below average comfort, and an “off” color that isn’t versatile (Woodbury Handstain doesn’t look good even with some neutral colors). It wasn’t expensive, but it is cheap looking. This is the second pair of Cole Haans that I’ve purchased this year. Both were below par for comfort. Prior Cole Haan shoes purchased in the 2010s were significantly more comfortable and attractive. Seems like quality and comfort have deteriorated. I will wear these, but only on limited occasions.

Having paid a premium, these shoes arrived with crease/stretch marks on the side. I immediately shipped then back as they probably will get worse with wear.

This is the second time buying these shoes because my husband loved them but he feels like they fit differently than the last pair. Not sure if the fit changed? We will try to exchange or return.
Fletch –
Second time getting these shoes and they are not the same as the first pair I got a few years ago. The leather is not as soft and they fit much tighter.
Chris –
Great shoe dressy or casual and comfortable.
